Wilwood is pleased to announce a new rotor and hat assembly for the Trans Am Series TA2 division. Rotor assembly and installation is simplified by eliminating the rotor bolts and floating hardware, and replacing them with a large, single internal snap-ring with replaceable rotor clips that retain the Spec37 GT 48-vane rotor to the aluminum hat.
This assembly removes thermal distortion, as well as removes all thermally generated stress from the rotor attachment points. The rotor now moves independently of the hat as it expands and contracts through heat cycles. The rotor stays flatter and runs truer, creating a smooth, vibration-free performance coupled with longer life.
