Wilwood now offers new state-of-the art bolt-on disc brake kits for Class 1, 2, and 3 Armored Vehicles up to 14,000 pounds GVWR. These are the first purpose designed severe duty 4-wheel truck disc brake kit upgrades on the market. Kits are available in three rotor sizes; 14.25” diameter to fit most 18” wheels, 15.00” diameter to fit most 20” wheels, and a 16.00” diameter to fit most 22” wheels.
Utilizing the vehicle’s existing brake controls, the new kits are compatible with ABS/TCS/ESC systems without the need for additional modifications. Current applications include GMC/Chevrolet 1500, 2500, 3500, Ford F-150, F-250, F-350, Toyota Landcruiser and Hilux, as well as Lexus LX570.
The modular design of the kits allow for easy custom fitment when necessary. Compared to stock components, these kits provide a significant reduction in the amount of un-sprung weight for increased performance and improved fuel economy. They are available in various finishes to withstand the most extreme conditions. Brake pads are easily replaced without caliper removal and come in a low dust, low noise high friction compound.
