Dynapro Radial Front Drag Brake Kit

DPR forged billet, radial mount four piston calipers are used in this select group of drag racing kits. The OE brakes on vehicles originally equipped with 16” or larger wheels generally do not fit inside the popular 15” drag wheels. Specially designed radial caliper mount brackets bolt directly to the OE caliper mount, and provide secure and accurate mounting for the DPR caliper. Kits with 3/8” steel rotors are recommended for four-wheel disc brake cars up to 2,800 pounds. Kits with .81” rotors should be used on cars over 2,800 pound cars, or lighter cars running extreme speeds desiring increased rotor durability.

Dynapro Radial Rear Drag Brake Kit

DynaPro4R Drag Race rear brake kits deliver high torque stopping power with a substantial weight savings over the OE brake components. Dynamic mount steel rotors weigh only 5.7 pounds each. They attach to the OE hubs with lightweight forged aluminum hats using our T-nut mounting system that allows the rotor to move independently of the hat during heat cycles. This eliminates stress at the mount points and the subsequent rotor distortion that can otherwise occur with fixed mount steel plate rotors. Dynamic mount rotors also assure full release from the pads to run true and drag free down the track.

Wilwood Disc Brakes Announces New DynaPro Front and Rear Drag Race Brake Kits for the 2015-Present Ford Mustang

Wilwood now offers three new drag race brake kits for the 2015-present Mustang. Two front kits include choices of either dynamic mount drilled steel rotors for dedicated “race-only” applications, or vented cast iron directional vane rotors for dual-purpose street/strip cars. The rear kit features dynamic mount drilled steel rotors without a parking brake to further eliminate unnecessary weight for drag race-only applications.
