Forged XRS6R Radial Mount Description
The XRS line represents Wilwood’s next generation of hi-tech calipers, combining decades of experience from both race and street performance applications of the venerable Forged Narrow Superlite Radial 4/6 mount series. Modern computer FEA design and state-of-the-art precision CNC machining convert stress-flow, premium-grade forged aluminum into a lighter design with more rigidity, allowing improved airflow and cooling for increased performance and control. The unique center X-bridge strengthens the caliper body without adding mass, resulting in a caliper of merely 4.5 pounds, up to a 15% weight reduction from its predecessor. XRS calipers retain internal fluid ports and two bleed screws to allow differential bore models to be used in either front or rear of spindle applications. Optimized profile high-temperature seals and stainless-steel pistons increase service life and reliability.
