Wilwood’s Classic Series front disc brake kits for 1957-1972 Ford F-100 trucks provide an easy and affordable bolt-on solution for improved stopping power with an element of style on these classic era Ford trucks with original equipment drum brake spindles. This new kit features forged aluminum six piston DynaPro 6A calipers, BP-10 compound metallic-composite SmartPads and a one-piece integrated hub and rotor. The rotor is multi-lug drilled to accept most 15” or larger 5 x 4.50” or 5 x 5.50” lug pattern wheels. Wilwood’s new All-Terrain AT6 forged aluminum racing caliper is designed, engineered, and purpose-built to endure the rigors of off-road truck and buggy racing. Wilwood now offers a 15/16” bore size in their line of compact combination master cylinders. This new size provides an additional option for fine-tuning system balance and leverage in the brake hydraulics. Compact master cylinders provide the full stroke and volume output capacity of standard full-size master cylinders in a space-saving, compact design.
Options for conventional flange or side body thru-bolt mounting are available with fluid outlets in either 1/8-27 NPT pipe thread, or 3/8-24 thread for banjo bolts or straight AN unions with crush washers. Complete kits include direct and remote mount fluid reservoir hardware in two different volume capacities
Wilwood's new Superlite 4R rear big brake kits for 1988-1996 C4 Corvette rear axles offer two performance-level configurations for high-capacity braking on the street, slalom or track. The OE brakes are replaced with four piston SL4R calipers and 12.88" diameter rotors. Kits are also available with an MC4 mechanical parking brake caliper.
Flexlines and parking brake cables specific to the C4 are available for all production chassis Corvettes. Universal cable kits and flexlines are available for custom builds using an adapted C4 Corvette suspension. SL4R rear kits provide complete matching style, performance and balance when used with Wilwood front big brake kits.
Wilwood has expanded their coverage of big brake kits for the 2003-2013 Nissan 350Z and 370Z models with three new performance level options. The kits are based on the high capacity Aerolite 6R six-piston radial mount calipers and 14” Spec37 alloy two-piece aluminum hat mounted rotors.
Wilwood has upgraded the performance of their front big brake kits for the 2007 and newer Jeep JK models. This is a result of the development of a new big-volume, six piston differential bore Superlite 6R caliper that replaces the previous four piston model.
Wilwood’s Forged Dynalite Internal (FDLi) aluminum lug mount calipers are the new generation in the Dynalite caliper series. FDLi bodies are manufactured from a new forging designed to increase wheel clearance in the bridge transition, eliminate the need for bridge spacers to accommodate different rotor widths and add overall stiffness with larger 3/8” diameter bridge bolts.
